Digital Glass Benefits

Digital Glass Benefits
Digital glass printing allows for high-resolution printing of signature designs and
other images directly on the glass. These images are UV, fade, and scratch-resistant.
They can also be easily incorporated into designs without using screens Smart Glass Thailand. GGI’s
Stephen Balik, director of architectural sales, explains how digital files can be easily
used to create unique designs. And since variable data can be incorporated into the
design, the possibilities are endless. With digital glass printing, you can make any
design come to life.

Limitations
There are certain limitations when it comes to creating digital glass prints กระจกประหยัดพลังงาน. Although
the print quality and durability of this material are high, there are also limitations
when it comes to the number of colors it can produce. For example, you can only
print four colors at a time and it will take a long time to set up each color. You are
also limited by the size of the image file. The resolution of the image file is also a
determining factor when it comes to the quality of the printed piece.
Requirements
There are two main directions in which the glass industry is digitizing. According to
Bernhard Saftig, head of the Siemens Glass Business Process Automation in
Karlsruhe, digitization is driving the glass industry in two directions: “Integrated
Operations” and “Cloud-based operations.” In the operating phase, digital data
connects field, automation and management levels. This allows operators to
simulate commissioning and optimize production. The cloud is a central data
repository and allows the glass industry to leverage digital data in a variety of ways.

Processes
Digital glass processes are transforming the glass industry. Through advanced
technology, glass manufacturers can control every aspect of the manufacturing
process with great accuracy. Siemens’ portfolio of industrial automation hardware
and software solutions helps glass manufacturers connect their real-world processes
to cloud-based systems. Through advanced software and hardware, glass
manufacturers can integrate their operations, increase transparency and efficiency,
and reduce cost throughout the value chain. Siemens’ products enable these
processes to be highly customizable, making them a perfect choice for a wide range
of applications.
Costs
Screen printing is the oldest form of glass printing. This traditional method has been
used for large-scale productions, but has been undergoing changes thanks to
advances in digital printing technology. Screen printing involves applying a stencil to
the glass surface, spreading ink across a mesh screen, and firing the finished glass
to adhere the ink to the surface. The process has a limited number of colors, and
requires a significant amount of set-up time for each color. While it may be a viable
option for small to medium-sized custom orders, it is not cost-effective for large-

scale productions.
